My name is Matt (he/him) and I am a therapist that wants to provide support to those who feel unseen and misunderstood through care, communication, and connection.
My therapeutic goals center around getting to know the author, plot, and direction of my clients story. Through exploration and examination we will make sure the story being told is being done by the person living and not based on what’s been written.
Everyone has had an assumption about what their life is and how far they can go. As a therapist its my honor to witness, hear, and understand my clients in a space that’s safe and validating.
I provide therapy to people age 16 and up - and I am passionate about supporting individuals and couples with the following issues:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Grief
- BIPOC & LGBTQ+ Identity Exploration
- Interracial Relationship
- Family Boundaries
- Sex & Intimacy Issues
- Parenting
- Infidelity
I practice the following therapy models:
- Narrative Therapy
- Psychodynamic
- Music Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Existential Therapy
- Mindfulness and Somatic Relaxation
- Trauma-Informed Care
Meet The Team
Our clinicians at Therapy for Peace of Mind are allies to the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities who love helping like-minded people. We are in the business of building resiliency and that starts by giving back to the communities we came from.
We use therapeutic models proven to help kids, teens, and adults heal from the impact of mental health issues and environmental stressors. In other words, we provide therapy for peace of mind.
